Stop Weighing in Once Per Week ___________________ Personally I think weekly weigh-ins are a cruddy way of tracking your progress. Your weight on the scale each day gets massively influenced by things like hormones stomach contents water retention etc… ___________________ Which is why youre MUCH better off weighing yourself daily finding weekly/monthly averages and then looking at how your weight trends over time ___________________ Just check out the example above . If this person weighs in weekly on Sunday (highlighted in red) they will end up seeing the same number two weeks in a row. ___________________ In response they will likely get discouraged and try to drop calories or do a load of extra cardio thinking they are not working hard enough.. ___________________ But if they instead weigh-in-daily (disregarding what their weight is day to day) and find a weekly average they will see they are 1.5lbs down over the course of the week! ___________________ Your weight is going to spike up and down day-to-day and that us just the way it is going to be. But take it daily and find your average weight over the course of a week or month it will help balance out fluctuations and you will see a more realistic representation of how you are actually progressing. ___________________ Make sure you are ALSO looking at other progress markers such as waist/ body measurements how clothes are fitting and how you actually feel! ___________________ Know someone this could help?
